BJP announces several special programmes demanding justice for Zubeen Garg

The BJP has announced a special programme from October 19 to pay tribute to the legendary artist.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has taken up a series of programmes to commemorate the memory of Zubeen Garg. BJP state president Dilip Saikia addressed a press conference in this regard on Saturday.

The party's agenda is as follows:

1.On October 19,  tribute programme will be held at various places in the State, District, Mandal and other parts of the state.

2. From October 22 to October 30, "huge public rallies" will be held in every district headquarters to seek justice for soul artist Zubeen Garg through the courts. The massive rally will begin from Nalbari district on October 22.

3.On October 26, more than 25,000 booths/villages in the state will be covered by the Prime Minister's Mann Ki Baat programme, along with a tribute and remembrance meeting for the legendary artist Zubeen Garg.

4. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers will plant and nurture a 'Nahar' sapling to commemorate the memory of the late artist Zubeen Garg.

5. Party MLAs and MPs will install a statue of Zubeen Garg in their respective constituencies to commemorate the legendary artist Zubeen Garg.

6. A music school will be set up in every district with the help of elected BJP representatives at all levels.

7. The party's MPs and MLAs will organise an exhibition football match in their respective constituencies to pay tribute to the legendary artist Zubeen Garg.

8. A mass tribute will be paid by 5000 Zubeen fans, party workers, supporters and well-wishers to perform the heartfelt songs of the artist. Starting from the birthday of 'Pranor Silpi' Zubeen Garg on November 18, group singing programmes will be held in every district till November 30.
