CP Radhakrishnan sworn in as Vice-president of India
CP Radhakrishnan was sworn in as the 15th Vice President of India today. President Droupadi Murmu administered the oath of office and secrecy to Radhakrishnan at a ceremony held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, former Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, former President Ram Nath Kovind and other senior Ministers. Among them were Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Karnataka Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Punjab Governor and Chandigarh Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria, Jharkhand Governor Santosh Gangwar and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav.
The newly elected Vice President expressed confidence that he would make a positive contribution to the discourse of the Parliament while strengthening India's constitutional values.
