Assam's daughter sets record in Bihu dance
Assamese girl Didriksha Sonowal sets world record with Bihu dance. Guwahati's girl Didriksha Sonowal completed the most Bihu dance spins in 30 seconds. Known locally as “Takori-Ghura”, Didriksha completed an astounding 72 spins in just half a minute. She is the daughter of Reena Devi Hazarika and Achitra Sonowal, her resident is at Maligaon. Didriksha is currently working as a civil engineer in a construction chemical industry in Thane, Mumbai.
