21 labourers from Assam died in road accident in Arunachal Pradesh

At least 21 labourers from Assam died in a horrific road accident in Arunachal Pradesh. All the labourers had gone to Arunachal Pradesh in search of work. 

The incident took place on December 8 in Arunachal Pradesh's Anjaw district. Around 8-9 p.m , 10 kilometres to Chagalgam, the truck veered off the road crashed into a rock in the hill and fell about 700 metres. According to reports, a total of 22 labourers were taken in a truck from Khela Pukhuri Tea Estate in Tinsukia district of Assam to Chagalagam area of Anjaw district to work on construction work.

When the workers did not reach Chagalagam on December 10, the co-workers brought the matter to the notice of the administration. Coincidentally, on December 10, one of the labourers who survived the accident unhurt reached the Border Roads Organisation camp on Chaglagam Road. It was then that the car that crashed came to light. Teams of the BRO, Army and NDRF are conducting operations to recover the bodies of the labourers in the vehicle. No one received the news for three days as there was no mobile network at the accident site. Several bodies have already been recovered and identified. The deceased have been identified as Gudheshwar Deep (23), Rahul Kumar (25), Somir Deep (22), Arjun Kumar (28), Pankaj Manki (20), Ajay Manki (30), Abhay Kumar (26), Abhay Dhuria (24), Rohit Manki (20), Dhirendra Kumar (22), Adar Tanti (24), Dhiren Saria (28), Rojoin Nag (21), Deep Gogla (28), Ramshalak Buna (26), Samran Nag (26) Vinay Kumar (26).  Karan Kumar (26) and Junash Munda (20).
