Illegal Liquor Worth 1,000 Litres Destroyed in Bajali Police & Excise Department Crackdown
In a continued drive against illicit liquor and unlawful activities, the Assam Police, along with the Excise Department, carried out special operations across various locations under the jurisdiction of Bajali district.
Acting on specific inputs, the Bajali Police launched coordinated raids in multiple areas, leading to the seizure and destruction of approximately 1,000 litres of country-made liquor. The liquor was allegedly manufactured and stored illegally in violation of excise laws.
According to official sources, the seized liquor was destroyed on the spot following due legal procedures. The destruction process was conducted in the presence of police personnel, excise officials, and independent witnesses to ensure transparency and strict compliance with the law.
Officials stated that the drive forms part of an ongoing campaign to curb the illegal production and sale of country liquor, which poses serious health hazards and often fuels unlawful activities.
