Today September 10th  - SIT to submit report to CM

The Chief Minister had set a deadline of September 10 to the SIT in connection with MP Gaurav Gogoi's Pakistan link. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday threatened to expose all the details of the alleged Pakistan link against MP and state Congress president Gaurav Gogoi.

 At 6 pm today, the Assam Police SIT will submit its report to the Chief Minister on the probe into Gaurav Gogoi's 'links with Pakistan'.

On Tuesday, September 9, Himanta Biswa Sarma had said that a decision would be taken only after seeing the report submitted by the SIT. The Chief Minister also said that action will be taken if there is anything serious in the report. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that if there is nothing special in the report, the case will be closed. If the report is not submitted by 6 pm today, the Chief Minister will question the SIT. The entire State, including the Chief Minister and the ruling Opposition leaders, are now waiting for the SIT report. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) was formed to probe the alleged Pakistan link case of MP Gaurav Gogoi and the team will submit its report to the Chief Minister today.
