The deadline for visitors to 'Zubeen Kshetra' is set for visitors. The administration has issued an SOP

Since Zubeen Garg's funeral, countless people have been seen gathering at the tomb at Hatimura in Kamarkuchi, Sonapur, everyday. Ordinary people throng the tomb day and night to pay their respects to the artist. From now on, visitors will be able to visit 'Zubeen Kshetra' only at a certain time. In this regard, the administration has set rules and timelines. The decision has been taken in consultation with the local people of Sonapur in consultation with the Kamrup district administration. The administration has already issued a notification in this regard.

As per the instructions mentioned in this notification ---

1. The Cremation Ground shall remain open for visitors to pay homage to the Legendary Singer Zubeen Garg from 6:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M. daily. No visitors shall be allowed beyond these hours.

2. Persons under the influence of alcohol or any other form of intoxication shall not be permitted to enter or remain within the premises of the Cremation Ground.

3. The consumption, serving, or distribution of any kind of intoxicating liquer is strictly prohibited within the premises as well as in the vicinity of the Cremation Ground.

This order shall come into force with immediate effect.
