Earthquake of magnitude 5.9 jolts entire state
The tremors were felt across the state at around 4.41pm on Sunday. The tremors were felt for about a minute. An earthquake measuring 5.9 on the Richter scale shook the entire state. Seismic damage is feared in some parts of the state due to the quake. The tremors were felt not only in Assam and India, but also in China, Myanmar, Bhutan, Nepal and Bangladesh.
