1.70 crore in cash and gold ornaments recovered from ACS Nupur Bora's house

In the CM Vigilance operation, more than Rs 1 crore in cash and many ornaments were recovered from the house of a Revenue Circle Officer. The name of the ACS Revenue Circle Officer is Nupur Bora. It is to be noted that Nupur Bora is currently working as a revenue officer in Kamrup Goraimari. Prior to that she was working as a Revenue Circle Officer in Barpeta. According to the complaint, Nupur Bora became the owner of the property within a short span of time. Nupur joined the service as an ACS officer in 2019. Nupur Bora joined Barpeta as a Revenue Circle Officer in the same year. 

Thereafter she was working in Karbi Anglong as an Assistant Commissioner. According to the complaint, Nupur Bora has been involved in many corruptions since the beginning of her service. Nupur Bora was transferred to Guwahati only a few days ago. After this, Nupur Bora fell into the trap of vigilance today.

The Chief Minister's Vigilance team raided Nupur Bora's flat in Maligaon and seized huge amounts of cash, gold ornaments worth lakhs of rupees. The investigating team raided flat 5A on the fifth floor of Shine Shanti Greeno Apartment in Gotanagar and seized this huge amount of property. The action was taken after a prolonged investigation.

According to sources, the vigilance was conducting the raid in connection with the irregularities that took place during his tenure as Assistant District Commissioner in Karbi Anglong. The Revenue Officer had been facing disproportionate assets case for a long time. It is to be noted that a money counting machine has to be brought from the State Bank of India to count the large amount of money recovered from Nupur Bora's house.

According to the complaint, she amassed a lot of money during her tenure as a Revenue Circle Officer in Barpeta. At that time, there was a lot of corruption by a Lat Mandal named Surajit Deka. At present another team of supervisory cells is raiding the house of Lat Mandal in Barpeta.
