Today is Teacher's Day

"Guru Brahma Guru Vishnu Guru Devo Maheshwara, Guru Sakshat Param Brahma, Tasmai Shri Guruve Namah"

The teacher is likened to a candle, which himself ends up burning and gives light to others i.e. gives the disciples the way of life, the teacher helps in the formation of character. Just as father's debt, mother's debt can never be repaid, it is also not possible to repay a teacher debts.

Today is September 5, Teachers' Day. Teacher's Day is a special day to honour the contribution of educationists. Today is the birthday of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was born on September 5, 1888, in a Brahmin family in Tirutani village, Tamil Nadu. Radhakrishnan, who grew up with great difficulty from an early age, taught for nearly 40 years. His popularity among students was high. He was able to get along with everyone very easily. In 1962, he became the second President of India. On his birthday, a section of students wanted to celebrate his birthday.

Then he told the students that I would feel happy if you celebrate my birthday as Teacher's Day rather than celebrating it as a birthday. Since then, this day has been celebrated every year as teachers' day with great reverence in memory of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the first Vice President, second President, philosopher and teacher of India and to express gratitude to the teachers of Shraddha for their guidance. Radhakrishnan was a philosopher, writer, teacher, politician. His contribution to the intellectual and educational world of India is unparalleled.

Teachers' Day is more important in our society. This day reminds teachers of their duty towards students and society. He also reminded the students that the position of teachers in the society will always remain high. Every student should know the importance of teachers. Life will never be fulfilled without a teacher because it's the teachers who give us the light of knowledge.

Today, teachers' day is being celebrated with colorful programs in various educational institutions of the country, including schools and colleges.
